A ship carrying 150 tons of wheat from the United States has arrived at the outer anchorage of Chittagong Port. This information was given in a press release sent by the Ministry of Food on Friday (March 27, 2026).
The release said that in light of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the United States and the Bangladesh Government, the ship MV Ubon Naree carrying 62,150 metric tons of wheat from America under the G2G of the cash purchase agreement has reached the outer anchorage of Chittagong Port.

The release further informed that earlier, 58,457 metric tons of wheat had reached the country through the first shipment under the G2G agreement. The process of testing samples of wheat kept on the ship has already started, and necessary measures have been taken for the rapid unloading of the wheat. Out of the 62,150 metric tons of wheat kept on the ship, 37,290 metric tons of wheat will be unloaded in Chittagong and the remaining 24,860 metric tons will be unloaded at Mongla Port.
